On July 8, 1952, a crew of twenty-five men embarked on a monumental voyage from London to the Arctic as part of the BNGE. Over the course of two years, these scientists, medical professionals, and military personnel braved the harsh elements of the Arctic and relied on the TUDOR Oyster Prince—the brand’s first automatic and waterproof watch—to guide them through their expedition.

Fast forward to the present day and the spirit of the BNGE lives on with the new TUDOR Ranger. Its launch commemorated the 70th anniversary of the Greenland expedition, and the TUDOR Prince watch that accompanied them. 

One of the TUDOR Ranger’s most iconic features is the 3-6-9-12 hour markers, painted in a slightly yellow-green-hued Super-LumiNova, ensuring optimal legibility even in low-light conditions. With a screw-down crown and a water resistance rating of 100m, the TUDOR Ranger is built to withstand the rigors of your most daring expeditions, while a domed sapphire crystal protects it from scratches and impacts.
