A Guide to Bell & Ross Watches

Finding a luxury watch that not only reflects your personal style but also serves as a reliable tool for measuring time can be difficult, but Bell & Ross watches certainly fit this mold.

Founded in 1992 by two childhood friends, Bruno Belamich and Carlos Rosillo, Bell & Ross watches have become synonymous with precision, functionality, and innovation. Inspired by aviation and military design, these timepieces combine a unique blend of elegance and utility.

Because of the watches’ non-traditional design, many people wonder, “Is Bell and Ross a luxury watch?” Yes, it is actually a French luxury watch brand, with Paris serving as its main headquarters. However, all of its watches are made in La Chaux-de-Fonds, which is the center of the watchmaking industry in Switzerland.

Trademarks of a Bell & Ross Watch

Bell & Ross watches are instantly recognizable for their square-shaped cases modeled after cockpit instruments. This signature design not only adds to the watches’ distinctive look but also enhances their readability. The watch faces are designed with bold numerals and markers, making it easy to read the time in any situation.

These utilitarian watches are crafted using only the highest-quality materials like stainless steel, titanium, ceramic, and sapphire crystal. These ensure the watches have the ability to withstand the toughest terrains and conditions.

The Collections

Bell & Ross offers a range of collections that cater to different styles and needs: Instruments, Urban, Vintage, Haute-Horlogerie, and Concept. The first three collections form the brand’s core offerings, while the latter two are designed for enthusiasts seeking more avant-garde designs and high-end horology.

The watches from the Instruments series are made with large, square cases and four screws at each corner of the bezel. The design is inspired by the cockpit instruments of an airplane, such as the standout BR 03-92 steel watch which sports a black dial, silver luminous hands, and a date complication at the 4:30 position.

The watches in the Urban collection have cases with rounded corners and smaller proportions, like the BR 05 steel watch in gray. This watch is perfect if you’re looking for a watch with a simple dial design and a date function, and water resistance up to 100 meters.

The Vintage line pays homage to the classic pilot watches of the past, with the addition of complications like GMT and chronograph functions. Unlike the first two collections, Vintage is composed of classic round pilot’s watches that are easy on the eye and can be matched with casual or dressy outfits. The BR V2-92 military watch from the Vintage collection has a beige-colored dial with beige and gray luminous hands. A rotating steel bezel and an elastic canvas bracelet completes the look of this watch.

Bell & Ross watches are a perfect blend of functionality and style. Their unique design, high-quality materials, and innovative features make them a reliable tool for measuring time, while also adding a touch of luxury to any outfit.
