The Glashütte Original Senator Perpetual Calendar (Reference 100-02-22-05-05) is a masterfully engineered German luxury dress watch that combines haute horology with clean, highly legible design. Crafted from a polished 18kt rose gold case measuring 42mm in diameter and 13.6mm in thickness, the watch makes a commanding yet sophisticated statement on the wrist. Its matte white/silver dial serves as an elegant canvas for a complex array of complications. It features a symmetrical calendar layout with distinct windows for the day at 10 o'clock, the month at 2 o'clock, a beautiful moon phase display at 8 o'clock, and the brand's signature two-disc Panorama large date at 4 o'clock. A subtle leap year indicator window sits right beneath the 12 o'clock position, using a color-coded dot system (red indicating a leap year) to track the four-year cycle without manual intervention. Visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback is the beautifully finished in-house Glashütte Caliber 100-02 automatic movement. Beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, this mechanical powerhouse contains 59 jewels and boasts a 55-hour power reserve. The caliber incorporates traditional German watchmaking flourishes, including a characteristic 3/4 plate, a striped finish, hand-engraved components, and a unique push-button second-reset mechanism that effortlessly snaps the second hand back to zero when pulling the crown.
