The Montblanc Maria Callas Special Edition Turquoise-Coloured is dedicated to one of the most charismatic sopranos of the 20th century and appreciated style icon. With her talent, passion and personality, she embodied a certain ideal of the operatic diva. In some of the world’s greatest opera houses, from La Scala in Milan, to the Paris Opera, to New York’s Metropolitan Opera, she was known as “La Divina” – the divine one. The edition highlights one of her favorite colors, turquoise, in the precious resin of the cap and barrel, while reflecting Maria Callas’s graceful beauty in its slender, elegant silhouette. In memory of her sea-encircled Greek homeland, the platinum-coated clip is decorated with a synthetic stone whose color is reminiscent of the radiant turquoise blue of the Aegean Sea. A costume detail from one of her recognizable bel canto roles, Bellini’s “Norma”, is reflected in a pattern of laurel leaves surrounding the platinum-coated cone of the edition along with the embossed signature of the celebrated soprano.
